Scotch Fizz

A "fizz" cocktail is a classic in the cocktail canon, it made its first appearance in the drinks world in the 1876 edition of Jerry Thomas's "Bartenders Guide". Related to the "sour" cocktail family (e.g whisky sour), a fizz has a strong zingy acidic taste profile thanks to the use of citrus, and fizzy-ness from the addition of soda (or any other carbonated water). A simple and delicious cocktail that adds a refreshing and elevated touch to any drinking occasion,  the fizz cocktail burst into popularity in 1900-1940s America and remains to be a top choice for many of today's imbibers.
