Scottish Coffee

Coffee and whisky is a classic flavour pairing, and the classic cocktail to bring them together is the Irish cocktail. Our recipe uses Scots Gold 8 Year Old whisky. With notes of malt and a touch of smokiness. Scots Gold 8 Year Old perfectly complements the rich cream and full-bodied espresso. It's a pick me up like no other!

Ingredients

1 Serving
35 ml Scots Gold 8 Year Old
90 ml Espresso (2 shots)
10 ml Simple syrup
30 ml Lightly whipped double cream
Nutmeg (optional)

Serving

Method

In a warmed mug or heat-resistant glass, pour in Scots Gold Whisky and sugar syrup.

Whip the double cream lightly until it starts to stiffen.

Brew two shots of espresso and pour into the glass.

Gently pour the whipped cream into the coffee over the back of a spoon so that it floats on top.

Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
