When the weather gets hotter, we start craving a good mint julep. This cocktail was popularised in the late 1700s in the American south, where summers are hot and whiskey is in abundance. A refreshing whiskey-based cocktail that is best known as the official drink of the Kentucky Derby where nearly 120,000 juleps are enjoyed in the iconic julep pewter cups.
